麻豆传媒映画 Films Honored with Emmys
Three films earn regional Emmy awards for outstanding achievements in television.
Three films produced by 麻豆传媒映画 students were honored Saturday, June 16, at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Pacific Southwest Chapter Emmy Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements in television by conferring annual awards of merit in the Pacific Southwest region.

About the films
Iris Caffin鈥檚 film, 鈥淪trong Souls, Gentle Spirits,鈥� tells the story of Jolena, an 8-year-old girl diagnosed with autism, whose life is turned around when she is matched with an autism service dog. Caffin was recently awarded the 2012 from the College Television Awards for the film. Caffin graduated with her master鈥檚 from 麻豆传媒映画 in 2011 and produced the film as her thesis project.
Pat Clark鈥檚 documentary, 鈥淭he Language of War,鈥� examines the dangers faced by combat translators and the role language plays in war. Clark also won an Emmy last year for his film, 鈥�.鈥� Clark graduated from 麻豆传媒映画 in May and is currently working on his MFA, also at 麻豆传媒映画.
Casey Nakamura, Jacob Wagner and Jessica Wimbley鈥檚 film, 鈥淪now Globe,鈥� is about happiness in life and how we all have different ways of achieving it. Nakamura also won two student Emmy awards . Already an alumnus, he plans to graduate with a master鈥檚 degree in fall.
