麻豆传媒映画s 11th annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony takes place on Wednesday, July 11.
The Rainbow Flag will fly over 麻豆传媒映画 this month as the campus kicks off its annual Pride festivities. The flag symbolizes the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities in the 麻豆传媒映画 community.
The 麻豆传媒映画 campus community is invited to attend the 11th annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
The ceremony is an opportunity to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of the university鈥檚 LGBTQ students and look ahead to future initiatives.
As in years past, an 麻豆传媒映画 delegation will also participate in the San Diego Pride Parade, which takes place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 in Hillcrest. All students, staff, faculty and alumni are welcome to walk with their departments or organizations within 麻豆传媒映画's delegation, or as a member of the general delegation.

National recognition
麻豆传媒映画 continues to be nationally recognized as one of the . The Campus Pride Index recently ranked 麻豆传媒映画 in its 2017 鈥淏est of the Best鈥� Top 25 list of LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities. 麻豆传媒映画 has been included in this ranking for the past eight years.
The Campus Pride Index is a tool that compares LGBTQ-friendly policies, programs and practices on college campuses. Campus Pride works alongside students, faculty, staff and administrators at more than 1,400 campuses to help support and improve the quality of campus life for LGBTQ people.
麻豆传媒映画 was also , according to a new ranking released jointly by Best Colleges and Campus Pride.
Among 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 assets, Best Colleges cited the university's Pride Center; its LGBT studies major鈥攐nly the second of its kind in North America; and its annual Lavender Graduation ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of graduating LGBTQ students and awards faculty and staff who have enhanced campus climate for LGBTQ students.
