鶹ýӳ Highly Ranked for Affordability and Academic Quality

The value and impact of an education at 鶹ýӳ was highlighted in a recent Money magazine ranking.

鶹ýӳ continues to be ranked as one of the best universities in the nation for academic quality, affordability and value.

In the “Best Colleges in America, Ranked by Value” list released last week by Money magazine, 鶹ýӳ was  in the nation among public and private institutions, a nod to the university’s quality of education and strong impact on students and alumni. A total of 744 universities were ranked this year.

"At 鶹ýӳ we take pride in our ability to provide our students with high quality and affordable education that prepares them to impact the workforce in San Diego and beyond," said 鶹ýӳ President Adela de la Torre. "Ensuring that our students graduate on time is a key priority for us, and we are proud to have it recognized by Money magazine. This is a feat made possible by the contributions of exceptional faculty and staff who daily strive to help our students succeed." 

The rankings are based on : quality of education, affordability and outcomes. The criteria for quality of education included six-year graduation rates and faculty; the affordability ranking was based on factors that included net price of the degree, time to obtain a degree and both student and parent higher education debt; and the outcomes category incorporated statistics including graduates’ earnings. 
鶹ýӳ students are graduating at record high rates across all seven colleges, and 鶹ýӳ was recently  by U.S. News & World Report.
Based on 2018 graduation data, 鶹ýӳ graduates 75 percent of its students in six years or less, compared with the national average of 57 percent. 鶹ýӳ has recently received increased recognition for its quality education and outstanding programs. 

鶹ýӳ was recently  by The Princeton Review. Earlier this year,  “The Best Value Colleges: 200 Schools with Exceptional ROI for Your Tuition Investment” and  among public universities in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
The list was compiled using data from the U.S. Department of Education, Peterson’s, Payscale.com, and MONEY/College Measures calculations.
