Los Angeles Wildfires: How to help impacted 麻豆传媒映画 students

麻豆传媒映画 has created a fund to support students in crisis. Here鈥檚 how to donate.

The catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles County have devastated the lives of thousands including many in the 麻豆传媒映画 community. More than 300 麻豆传媒映画 student families come from the most impacted areas. 

In response, 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 (ECRT) is working to provide essential resources, including housing support, gift cards for groceries and gas, and other necessities. Donations from the 麻豆传媒映画 community are helping ECRT to continue and expand the assistance. 

鈥淵our generosity helps ensure that every student has the resources to continue their education without interruption,鈥 said Caryl Montero-Adams, 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 interim dean of students. 鈥淭ogether, we can make a profound difference in the lives of 麻豆传媒映画 students.鈥 

How to donate

Donations of any amount will support impacted students through the Economic Crisis Response Team. .

How students can get help

To request assistance for essential needs, contact the in the Basic Needs Center at Calpulli Center: email [email protected] or complete the .

In addition, the (CARES) Team can help address any student need. CARES can also help students navigate resources and contact faculty. Email [email protected] or complete the .

Counseling & Psychological Services can be reached at 619-594-5220 and crisis support is available when the office is closed at the same number. Self-help options are available on demand on the C&PS .

鈥淭his is exactly the kind of crisis situation that ECRT was created to address,鈥 said Evie Baez,  director of the Basic Needs Center. 鈥淲e are already hearing from students who are turning to us for assistance with essential needs so that they can continue their education uninterrupted.鈥

Additional needs

In addition to emergency resources for students, donations may be used to assist impacted students with tuition and fees. Any funds raised above and beyond those used to address the impact of the wildfires may be distributed for general ECRT purposes.
