For nearly seven decades, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» has provided a platform for international students to share their cultures, music, languages, and perspectives at the annual Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» International Peace Village.

The event, which is part of International Education Week, took over the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union Lee & Frank Goldberg Courtyard for an afternoon last month. This year marks the 68th  Peace Village celebration, which serves as a catalyst for students to make cultural connections with peers attending Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» from across the globe.

Entertainment at Peace Village expanded this year, thanks to new collaborations among campus organizations. Events included music and dance performances, as well as a Henna Workshop and Dabke Dance Workshop. A vibrant Lion Dance exhibition by the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s Vietnamese Student Association kicked off Peace Village, followed by a K-Pop Traditional Korean Dance Performance featuring Marlene Baldonado, and a colorful, high energy Folklorica Mexican Danza exhibition by Chula Vista-based Wa-Kushmaa.

This year’s Peace Village is a collaboration between Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s International Student Center, Center for Intercultural Relations, Associated Students, Student Affairs & Campus Diversity and the University Seal of Biliteracy & Cultural Competence.
